Rubina Azam, MD
Hello! I’m Dr. Rubina Azam, a dedicated pediatrician committed to providing comprehensive, compassionate care for your child. I am proud to be the only American Board-Certified pediatrician in the area with advanced fellowship training in Integrative and Holistic Medicine from the University of Arizona, along with board certification in Integrative and Holistic Medicine and certification from the Institute for Functional Medicine. With over 15 years of experience practicing in Panama City, Florida, I have cared for children from newborn through adolescence, supporting families through every stage of development. I am now excited to extend my practice to Jacksonville, Florida, continuing my mission of delivering personalized, whole-child care. After earning my medical degree, I completed my residency training in Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine at Howard University Hospital in Washington, DC, and Austin Children's Hospital in Austin, Texas. I further advanced my training with a one-year fellowship in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, gaining specialized expertise in caring for critically ill newborns. In 2008, I established my private pediatric practice in Panama City, Florida, where I provided comprehensive care for children of all ages. Driven by a passion for holistic health, I became board-certified in Integrative and Holistic Medicine in 2013. I then pursued additional fellowship training in Integrative Medicine at the University of Arizona and obtained certification from the Institute for Functional Medicine. I recently started Mango Pediatrics in the Jacksonville area, and I am so happy to now be serving the Jacksonville community after having served in Panama City, Florida, for more than 15 years. My approach combines traditional pediatrics with integrative and functional medicine, allowing me to focus not only on treating illness but also on optimizing your child’s overall health, development, and well-being.
